All the rabbits have been raised indoors without outdoor playtime almost every day. They are from a household with children, and they are gentle and calm with young ones. Like all rabbits, they can kick a little when they are nervous, so it's best to have an adult help young children get the rabbits out, but then they're all happy to sit on a lap and be petted and loved. Angora rabbits need their fur brushed at least a couple of times per month, but it's fun to do, and they are all used to it. They are all good litter box users. None of them is spayed/neutered.
If you are a spinner or fiber artist, these bunnies can be a great source of English-quality fiber with nice crimp, interesting colors, and good length. If you're not a fiber artist, send the fiber back to me! ;-) It also makes a good garden mulch and might be effective against slugs. (best applied in less visible areas)
All these rabbits are half Jersey Wooly and half English Angora. They are all Vienna-marked, which means they have one copy of a gene that can lead to blue or lilac eyes, bright white patches, often a white blaze on the forehead, and often a white nose or nose and mouth. It has no health concerns -- it's just a color gene.
Oakland is an adolescent Vienna-marked chocolate buck. He's a deep chocolate color with bright blue eyes. He looks just like a little English Angora with full facial furnishings and a cap when he's in full coat. He's a little shy but a snuggler once he gets to know you. He was born on June 27, 2025.
Pika is a Vienna-marked chestnut adolescent buck. He was well-named, as he really does look a bit like a Pika (which are also in the Lagomorph family!) His fur is golden-orange and black with a white blaze on his head, a splash of white down his nose and mouth, one white foot, and steel blue eyes. He has the French Angora head type. Excellent rufus. Pika is a sweet and laid-back little guy who is very friendly and curious. He was born on June 27, 2025.
Jackson is a Vienna-marked gold-tipped steel adolescent buck. What a guy! He's so friendly and outgoing. He's also adventurous -- he was the first of his siblings to jump up to their high shelf. He looks exactly like an English Angora, but he (and all his siblings) are likely to be between four and five pounds when they are full-grown. He has beautiful lilac-blue eyes. He was born on June 27, 2025.
Stormy is a Vienna-marked blue steel doe. She, like her brother, Oakland, is a little shy until she gets comfortable with you. She's fast and athletic when she gets to run outside, but will also sit calmly for her hair to be brushed or nails to be trimmed. She is currently living happily with her mom, Sunny, and we'd love to see them find a home together if possible. Stormy was both on June 27, 2025.
Sunny is a heavily Vienna-marked blue. She was born on September 6, 2024. She has fun English-like ear tassels and some head furnishings. She is such a sweetie, happy to come over to greet her humans every morning and get her head rubbed. She, like Moose, loves the option to be a cat-like rabbit: she loves going in and out to the yard via a cat door. She is a fast runner, but really good about coming in when she's done playing. Sunny is currently living happily with her daughter, Stormy, and we'd love for them to find a home together if possible.
Moose is a gorgeous and very outgoing Vienna-marked blue-eyed gold-tipped steel angora rabbit with white flashes on his head and chest. He's a little over four pounds and just a wonderful guy. Moose was born on July 14, 2024. He doesn't have facial or foot furnishings, but he does tend to have delightful little ear tassels. He loves treats and getting his head scratched. He is good about being picked up. When he gets to play outside, he'll come around and check in with his people like a puppy. (He doesn't play fetch, though. Not yet anyway.)
Moose loves being outdoors, where he is the cutest thing running around and digging up weeds for us. He is used to coming and going through a cat door, but he does stay in an indoor crate at night. He could be kept outdoors if you have good protection from direct sun for him (it's hot wearing a coat like that!) He is a good litter-box user indoors, just know that he needs one with high sides.
We know it might take quite some time to find the right home for these little loves, and we're not in a rush. We will keep this post updated.
Happy to meet you anywhere in Longmont.
